Serbian championship in beach volley this summer in Kragujevac, Nis and Novi Sad

Vip mobile and Volleyball Federation of Serbia announced today the launch of Vip Beach Masters 2010 - Serbian championship in beach volleyball, the third professional championship, which will be organized in Kragujevac, Nis and Novi Sad during the summer. The importance of Vip Beach Masters tournament for the development and promotion of beach volleyball in Serbia was also recognized by the Ministry of Youth and Sport, who is the patron of this year’s project.

Promotion of the new season was opened on the court of Goga Yachting Club with the exhibition match between professional players and popular TV presenters, who created a great atmosphere and announced good fun at the tournaments. The team consisting of Stefan Basta, winner of silver medal at the Balkan championship for players up to 23 years and TV presenter Marija Kilibarda played against Ivana Isailović, winner of the National Championship 2009 and Ivan Ivanović, host of TV show "Cash taxi", showing their volleyball skills and competitive spirit.

Vip Beach Masters 2010 – Serbian championship in beach volleyball will start with tournament in Kragujevac (June 18-20), followed by the tournament in Nis (August 6-8), while final tournament of the National Championship will be held in Novi Sad (August 27-29). During the tournaments, 16 male and 8 female teams that qualified for the competition will compete for the title of Serbian Champion in beach volleyball. Novi Sad will from July 21st to 25th once again host the prestigious CEV Challenger tournament, gathering the best European teams in men’s beach volleyball at Strand beach. Contestants will compete for the rankings at the list of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and the World Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

Total prize fund is EUR 46.500 – for three tournaments of National Championship prize fund is EUR 11.500 per tournament (total EUR 34.500), and for CEV Challenger it amounts EUR 12.000.
